Briefly, Galerie Myrtille was a real gallery...

A Myrtille, by the way, is a Wild Blue Berry. (Also know as an urt, a bilberry, a whortleberry, a blaeberry, a wimberry, a hurtleberry, a faughan and more...)

Deep in the Bavarian countryside in Germany a beautiful old, timber frame building was acquired to be the Galerie Myrtille. DG, his wife and son spent a year doing up the large space to be the gallery.

There was even a sign carved by DG to hang by the front door.

Unfortunately, following a colossal fall out between the German Government and DG, the artist and his family were forced to leave Germany at exceptionally short notice. DG now resides in Devon and his gallery will be run as an online venture until such time as they may be able to return to Germany.
